Hello everyone,
I'm happy and honored to introduce a new instrument, which is inspired by the wonderful tradition of Middle East art.
The Qanun will be featured at SFP charity event, where 100% of the proceedings will be used to help the families affected by the current situation that is happening around Gaza.
I want to stress something of extreme importance, before describing the object.
This is not a politically oriented event. There is no picked side, it is not about Palestine or Israel, it is not about governements at war. This is about families and children suffering the choices of others, no matter the flag or the ideology. It is an event that also stands against antisemitism and Islamophobia.
It is an event about unity, solidarity, open dialogue, and for this reason I made a Qanun, a instrument which is familiar to the whole Middle East. It is meant to be a bridge to connect, not a wall to separate.
Everyone at SFP has friends from Israel and Palestine, and they are equally lloved and cherished.
We're here to help people build back a future.
With that said, the Qanun features 9 playable pieces, 2 different colour scheme (one is darker, and one is lighter) and a stool with playing animation!
